ERIK MICHAEL PEDERSEN October 13, 1980 - March 3, 2021 Loving Son - Brother - Uncle - Friend

To our family and friends near and far, thank you for joining us in honoring Erik’s life.

Erik valued family, friends and his career. Erik was a son to David & Kay. Erik was a brother to Matt (Tina) and Brooke (Tom). Erik’s most cherished role he played was Uncle to Wyatt and Hadley. When Wyatt and Hadley were around, they held all of Uncle Erik’s attention, he adored them and loved them with everything he had.

Erik found his passion in computers. He received a BA in Accounting Information Systems from Michigan State University and a MBA in Cyber and Information Security from Walsh College. He was incredibly talented and loyal in his career as Chief Technology Officer & Chief Security Officer at Employee Health Insurance Management, Inc (EHIM). Outside of work, he assisted with technical production for a local film, The Tent; which was awarded Best Michigan Feature at the 2020 Royal Starr Film Festival.

Erik had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor with his jokes, witty comebacks and off-the-wall gifts. Erik had a love for football from playing it throughout middle school and high school to being an avid fan of Michigan State University and Detroit Lions (which isn't the easiest).

Erik never stopped learning and held a wealth of knowledge. He always won at trivial pursuit, even when it was everyone vs Erik. Erik had an unbelievable ability to remember all sorts of random knowledge. He amazed us with his ability to remember things from his toddler years and on in full details. Erik had a brilliant mind and used it to the fullest to help others, to create laughter and most of all to love deeply.

With Love, David, Kay, Matt, Brooke, Tina, Tom, Wyatt & Hadley

A Celebration of Erik’s Life will be held at a future date. We will let you know when more information is available.
